Mothers build self-esteem at home
Mothers and self-esteem. Our parents are key to our emotional development and a mum can enhance or crush a child's self-esteem. If we don't recognise how our mother has affected our self-esteem (our view of ourself) we may suffer from low self-esteem all of our lives. How do we break the cycle?
As mothers ourselves, we need to ensure that we build self-esteem in our kids and not repeat the mistakes of our parents. As mothers we need to plan to build self-esteem within the family.
- A mother who can build self-esteem helps her family.
- A mother who can build self-esteem helps society.
- A mother who can build self-esteem is a role model to others.
A plan to build self-esteem within the family
Mothers can take a leading role in building self-esteem in families. There are important differences in ways to build self-esteem in girls and boys. And of course, it's also important to build self-esteem in your partner. This should not be at your expense. You also need to build self-esteem in yourself!
A family with a positive self-esteem is a healthier family. A family with positive self-esteem is a happier family. Kids with positive self-esteem do better at school.
Self-esteem starts with mother, so let yourself shine (and let your family bask in the rays!).
